Elevator Inspection & Certification
In Greece, every elevator must be registered and periodically inspected to remain in legal operation. Inspection verifies that the installation still meets the EU Lifts Directive 2014/33/EU and the EN 81 safety standards, protecting passengers and keeping the building owner compliant. Skipping it risks fines and, more importantly, safety. Stager prepares your lift for certification: we carry out a full technical check, correct any nonconformities, compile the documentation, and coordinate the inspection with an independent accredited body. Because certification must be issued by an impartial inspection body and not by the maintenance company, we manage the process end to end while keeping the roles correctly separated. With 45+ years in the field and 7 branches nationwide, we know exactly what inspectors look for. We make recertification predictable and stress-free. Arrange your inspection at 210-90-19-957.

Is elevator certification mandatory in Greece?
Yes. Greek law requires every lift to be registered with the competent authority and inspected periodically by an accredited inspection body. An uncertified or unregistered elevator is operating illegally and exposes the owner to penalties and liability in the event of an accident.
How often does my elevator need to be inspected?
The interval depends on the building’s use and intensity of traffic. Public and high-traffic buildings are inspected more frequently than low-rise residential blocks. We confirm the exact recertification interval for your specific installation and remind you ahead of each deadline so you never fall out of compliance.
Who issues the certificate, Stager or an independent body?
The certificate is issued by an independent, accredited inspection body, not by us. This separation guarantees an impartial assessment. Stager’s role is to prepare and present the lift, fix any issues, and coordinate the whole process so certification goes through smoothly.
